Natalie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication with a concentration in Print Journalism from Louisiana State University in 2011. During her time at LSU, she was a Chancellor’s Leadership Scholar and four-year Dean’s List honoree. She also served as a research assistant for her media law and writing professor and a news writer for The Daily Reveille.
After college, Natalie attended Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University, where she earned her Juris Doctor and Graduate Degree in Comparative Law in 2014, graduating cum laude with honors. In her first year, she competed and was named a semi-finalist in the Tullis Moot Court Competition and earned awards for Top Appellate Brief and Top Oral Advocate, leading to her selection as a member of the Moot Court Board. She went on to receive the CALI Award for Excellence in Matrimonial Regimes, awarded for the highest grade in the class, and was a two-time recipient of the Chancellor’s Scholar Award. During law school, Natalie also served as Chief Copy Editor of The Civilian, represented indigent clients as a student attorney through a selective Family Law Clinic, and was selected by faculty as a top candidate in the Vinson & Elkins NITA Trial Advocacy Program, earning her membership in the Wex Malone American Inn of Court. During her law school career, she also studied American and comparative law abroad at Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3 in Lyon, France and gained valuable early litigation experience clerking for the Hon. Alex Wall (ret.) at the Baton Rouge City Court.=
After earning her law degree, Natalie was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar in 2014 and began her legal career at a private firm, where she specialized in family law for over a decade. In 2020, she became a Louisiana Board-Certified Family Law Specialist, handling complex matters involving custody, support, property division, domestic violence, same-sex family law issues, and appellate litigation. Her work regularly involved collaboration with expert witnesses in medicine, finance, and psychology. Over time, she developed a specialty in family law appeals, achieving a 92% success rate in written and oral advocacy before Louisiana appellate courts and the Louisiana Supreme Court.
Natalie was admitted to the Nevada State Bar in 2025 and formally transitioned her practice to focus on high-value personal injury and medical malpractice cases, leveraging the strategic litigation, client advocacy, and expert collaboration skills she honed during her years in family law. Natalie joined the prestigious team at Gina Corena & Associates, where she quickly immersed herself in complex injury litigation and trial preparation. Her background in emotionally complex, high-conflict litigation translates seamlessly into her current work advocating for individuals and families affected by life-altering injuries. Her deep experience preparing expert testimony, navigating procedural complexities, and crafting persuasive appellate arguments now informs her approach to building strong, compelling cases on behalf of plaintiffs.
She has previously served on the Louisiana Board of Legal Specialization’s Family Law Advisory Commission and was appointed Secretary of the Commission in 2024.
Natalie comes from a large, tight-knit Colombian family and is fluent in Spanish. She is committed to increasing access to high-quality legal representation for Spanish-speaking families in Nevada.
