Mark Rouse

Mark received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky, in 2007. During college Mark was a NCAA Div. III cross country athlete and selected by his peers to be the Class of 2007 graduation speaker.

After college, Mark attended law school at the University of Kentucky.  In his first year of law school, Mark was selected as one of the Top 5 competitors in the law school’s first year students’ mock trial competition. During his law school career, Mark received the CALI award for Capital Punishment, awarded for the highest grade in the class, and served as the Production Editor of the Kentucky Journal of Equine, Agriculture, & Natural Resources Law.

Mark moved to Las Vegas in 2010 after graduating from law school to serve as the first law clerk for the Hon. Nancy Allf (ret.) of the Eighth Judicial District Court of Nevada. During his clerkship, Mark successfully passed three bar exams in two years. Mark is now licensed to practice law in Arizona, California, Kentucky,  and Nevada. Mark is also admitted in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Court of Nevada, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky.

In his first year of practice, Mark tried three civil jury trials to a verdict. Since then, Mark has successfully represented personal injury clients in countless arbitrations, mediations, and trials. Mark has devoted his legal career to fighting for personal injury victims.

A month after getting married, Mark was hit head on in the middle of the day by a driver in Las Vegas going the opposite direction who fell asleep at the wheel. Mark’s airbags deployed and he was pushed backwards into the car behind him.  His car was totaled. He could not run for approx. 9 months due to his injuries and underwent an extensive regimen of physical therapy and injections to get back to running. With the help of his medical providers, family, and shear determination, Mark is back to running and regularly competes in races.   Mark knows firsthand the effects an injury can have on a person and their family. Although a personal injury lawsuit or claim can never take away the harm that was done, Mark strives to hold people accountable for the injuries their conduct creates.

Mark enjoys fighting for clients. He has successfully obtained numerous multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements from companies, and individuals that have harmed people. Mark is an associate attorney on partner John Shook’s litigation team.

Mark has been nominated by his colleagues as a Mountain States Super Lawyers Rising Star and Nevada Business Magazine, Legal Elite. He is a member of the Million Dollars Advocate Forum, the National Trial Lawyers, and has been selected as a Top 40 Under 40 Civil Plaintiff’s Attorney in Nevada.

In his free time, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters, visiting Disneyland, running, and rooting for the University of Kentucky Wildcats and Las Vegas Raiders.
